Posting your resume on job boards is the most acceptable way of trying to get your profile out to as many recruiters as possible. While this has been the choice for many many years, with the creation of AI doing recruiting you will receive more emails about positions than what you are qualified for.
Large companies are starting to rely on using AI as a recruiting tool, and while that may be a way to help recruiters, relying on that alone will not help you in your search.
Besides posting your resume, network with people that you know, connect with people you don’t know but may be looking for someone with your skills. Reach out to your friends who are working, see if they know of a position coming up that you may be a fit for, send them your current resume so they have it at hand if something comes up that they think you would fit.
You need to get yourself out there besides just your resume. A phone call or video call with a recruiter will help you get your skills and personality across more than just a resume posting.
Don’t sit at home waiting for someone to contact you about a position. You may be waiting for a long time.
Your best marketing person is yourself, so get out there and show what your best at.
