With technology the way it is today, and AI reaching out to every branch of recruiting. Receiving calls, texts or emails from AI bots is frustrating. As a recruiter I make it a point to talk to every candidate that I source.
My candidates know that I am a real person and they have the opportunity to ask me questions and they will get answers that will be precise and direct.
AI tends to take the human connection out of the equation and you can be left feeling like you are just another piece of paper.
Connect as much as you can with a recruiter. Although AI can be a great resource, it does not replace the human factor of direct conversations with a recruiter.
Don’t be tricked by the blast of emails that you may have been receiving, emails that say; we reviewed your resume and we think you would be a great fit for this position, and the email will ask you to click on a link to schedule an interview.
I myself have received these emails, usually telling me that I would be a great fit for a plumbing position, or data entry position. Skills that I do not have and I wonder where in my resume they saw that I had those skills.
This happens because AI will scan a resume looking for particular words but not actually read the resume, if the skills are seen in no matter what capacity, you will receive an email.
Always work directly with a recruiter, you will have the added benefit of speaking directly with them, direct contact is always the best way to talk about you and your skills.
